The PUK police forces shot and injured thirteen workers

 

Join us in Solidarity with the Cement Workers in Kurdistan

 

 

To Protest against the action of the PUK on Thursday morning 27 July 2006. The workers of the Tasluja Cement Factory in Suleimanya were taking part in a peaceful protest demanding a pay rise and the reinstatement of fellow workers who had been sacked.  The PUK shot into the demonstration and 13 workers were badly injured.

 

Please join us in condemning this oppressive deed of the PUK forces against the workers of Tasluja Cement factory, show solidarity with the workers of the Tasluja Cement Factory in Suleimanya, join our picket calling on the PUK to meet the following demands of the workers of Tasluja:   

 

  • A pay rise
  • full reinstatement of fellow workers
  • The fundamental right to strike and demonstrate.
